This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Snipd mobile application ("App") on Android and Apple devices. By accessing or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with our practices, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

Personal Information

• Account Information: When you create an account or contact us, we may collect personal details such as your name, email address, and any other information you voluntarily provide.
• Contact Data: We may use your email address ([email protected]) to communicate with you regarding updates, support, or promotional offers.
• In-App Purchase Data: If you purchase a subscription or digital goods, our subscription management providers collect and process your purchase history and receipt data. We do not directly collect or store your payment card or financial details.
• AI Interactions: When you use the artificial intelligence features within our App, we collect the inputs you submit (including photos and text prompts) only to process them and generate a response.
• Face Data & Photos: When you use the AI hairstyle features, you may submit a selfie photograph taken with your camera or selected from your photo library.
  • We use Apple's Vision framework locally and entirely on your device to verify that a human face is present in the photo before any further processing occurs — no biometric identifiers, facial geometry maps, Face ID data, or TrueDepth sensor data are collected.
  • Your photo is then transmitted securely over HTTPS to the Google Gemini API solely to: (a) analyze descriptive facial and hair characteristics such as face shape, jawline, hair texture, and hairline type; (b) generate personalized hairstyle recommendations based on those characteristics; and (c) produce virtual hairstyle try-on images.
  • For "Inspired By" and custom try-on features, your selfie and an optional reference image you provide are both submitted to Google Gemini to render the reference hairstyle onto your photo.
  • Photos and analysis results are stored only on your device in the app's private local database and are never uploaded to or stored on our servers.
  • Face data is never used for advertising, user tracking, identity verification, or any purpose beyond the hairstyle features described above.

Non-Personal Information

• Usage Data: We automatically collect data regarding your interaction with the App, such as device type, operating system, screens visited, and other usage details to analyze app performance.
• Technical Data: Information like IP address, device identifiers, and app performance metrics may be collected to help us troubleshoot, improve functionality, and enhance the user experience.
• Advertising and Device Identifiers: If you grant permission through your device's native tracking prompt (App Tracking Transparency), we may collect certain device identifiers, such as the Apple Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA), IP address, and interaction data regarding our advertisements.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Providing and Improving the App: We use your information to operate, maintain, and enhance the App, tailoring your experience based on your preferences.
• Face Shape Analysis: We use your submitted selfie to analyze descriptive facial characteristics (such as face shape, forehead height, jawline definition, and hair texture) by transmitting your photo to the Google Gemini API. The resulting analysis is displayed to you and stored locally on your device.
• Haircut Recommendations: We use your submitted selfie and the resulting facial analysis to recommend hairstyles suited to your face shape and hair type. This processing is performed by the Google Gemini API.
• Virtual Try-On: We use your submitted selfie to generate a new image showing how different hairstyles, colors, or highlight techniques would look on you. This image is created by the Google Gemini API and saved locally on your device.
